What's My Secret Ingredient for Holiday Baking? - just add Reiki!

Have you ever heard the phrase, "made with love"? Well, when it comes to holiday baking, I have often been accused of taking that concept to the extreme. As a Reiki Master, I am committed to living a "Reiki Lifestyle". I incorporate Reiki into just about everything I do, including my holiday baking.

When I bake special treats for the holidays, I always add Reiki to the recipe. In fact, it's the secret ingredient that makes all the difference. As I plan what I am going to make, I send Reiki to the situation, and ask for the Reiki energy to guide me to choose exactly what the people who will be enjoying my treats need the most. Then I gather the ingredients and the tools I will be using to make the recipes and charge them with Reiki.

I am lucky enough to have some of the items from my grandmother's kitchen, and when I use them, I connect with her energy, asking her to help guide my hands to make the best product possible. She was a gifted baker and the recipes come out perfectly when she helps. At times, I receive direct messages from her and we make the recipes together. It's very comforting to be back in the kitchen again with her.

As I make the treats, I add Reiki to every step. For example, if I am making cookies, I charge the separate ingredients with Reiki and then infuse the dough after they're combined. Once they're shaped and placed on the cookie sheets, I once again hold my hands above them and infuse them with Reiki before they're placed in the oven. As I package them and deliver them or serve them from my own kitchen table, I re-affirm the Reiki energy that has gone into making the cookies.

Reiki is the purest form of Divine Love available, and the purest ingredient I have available to me in my baking arsenal. The recipes turn out perfectly every time; and I feel relaxed and energized after my time in the kitchen. Invariably, when I serve the treats, I always get comments such as, "what's in these ….?; they're the best I've ever had!" If you are a Reiki practitioner, why not try adding some Reiki to your holiday baking this year?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this idea. Please post a response to this blog to share your own personal experiences.
Blessings,
Mary

Thanks to all who emailed me with your responses to this post. Here are a few:

"Good afternoon, Mary! I have thought on numerous occasions, that when i am cooking with intention, i notice how much better things turn out......as opposed to trying to do it in a rush just to "get it done".  Love your observations!"

"Hi Mary, I really enjoyed your article about baking with Reiki with your Grandmother who is on the other side now. I can use all the help I can get when it comes to baking so I'll have to try that and see who I can call on to help me in the kitchen. Happy baking!"

"Greetings Mary, Thank You for your reiki-filled message. We are sisters in the kitchen: You add reiki and I add chi to everything we make. I have been practicing Tai Chi for twenty years and my cooking speaks for it, especially my chocolate-cranberry-walnut delights. With them I have
succeeded to inspire my friend, who suffered a major stroke couple of years ago. The doctors said he would never walk and speak again. Next month he is traveling with his wife to their second honeymoon to Laos and Indonesia, where they will journey into the magical, sacred sites by walking. We have done a lot of Chi work, all supported by the Happy Buddha cookies. He is 69
and now in a better condition than before his "incident". So, again thank you! It is nice, when everything you do will naturally have healing powers. I see both the reiki and the chi the same and had for years witnessed both of them bringing blessings in a gentle and subtle way, that stimulates
people to make the connection to their own source of happiness and health. And one more thing about the power of the Reiki/Chi. I have stopped using indoor heating. This morning my room temperature was 32 degrees Fahrenheit and my inner heat (Tumo) made it feel like a summer day.
I years ago did not really believe in this self-generated warmth by the Chi, that the Tibetans call Tumo, but now I know it is real!"
