Earth Hour 2009- The Reiki Experience
I asked for feedback on your experiences and I received some very positive comments. Here are just some of the comments I received about the Earth Hour 2009 Reiki experience:
"I don't always see guides…but I had literally just closed my eyes, hadn't even opened up to the energy and this smiling Hindu type lady was right in front of me like she was waiting for me. She had this beautiful brilliant white shawl and dress with beautiful turquoise and burgundy colors in them and she held my hands and filled them with gold light. It just went on from there, very beautiful but very intense. I saw throngs of people, mostly children coming together and moving toward us down this wide road with brilliant white light behind them... I think you were there too for a while. Later one of my own guides was here and then I was bouncing around the globe and back and forth between global issues and family or friends around the country. I'm so glad I took the time to do this!"
"I followed your directions Saturday night, turned off the lights and meditated from 8:30pm to 8:50pm...I visualized everyone I knew holding hands and dancing in a circle that grew wider and wider with more people and everyone was happy kicking up their legs, then lying down on the grass still holding hands...it was so nice...I love that I was doing something that many other people were doing, I felt a part of the whole universe!
Thanks again for taking part in such a wonderful uplifting experience with me. I look forward to doing it again next year. In the meantime, please join me for Reiki Hour every Sunday night at 9:00 pm in your timezone, from wherever you are. I just heard from my friend, Julie Daniel, who is a YogaKids teacher here in Syracuse. She wrote to me about how she spent Earth Hour. Julie writes, "because of your Earth Hour emails I decided to lead an Earth Hour Yoga session at CNY Yoga Center. It was very beautiful, moving. I loved your quote, 'turn off the light and be the light'. I planned the lesson around that. I started with an Earth Blessing/Breath that I wrote a few years ago (for Earth Day I think), then each person lit a candle in the studio as they silently gave prayers and blessings to the Earth. We did Sun Salutations to 'Here Comes the Sun', and Moon Salutations to Moonshadow. Partner poses were sleeping stars and reaching for the moon, etc. It was such a lovely experience. Thank you."
Thanks for sharing, Julie, and thanks for allowing me post your ideas for others to enjoy.
Blessings,
Mary
