The Women's Gathering of Gorton has brought 8 of the Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers to the Groton/Ithaca area for this wonderful event, which runs from October 5-11, 2008. It is called "The Grandmothers Speak" and the schedule of events is as follows:

October 5th- Grand Gathering
8:00 am Opening Ceremony
11:00- 11:45 Midday prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
2:00- 5:00 The Grandmothers Speak, Cornell University, Bailey Hall. Tickets are $9 in advance, $11 on the day of the event. Tickets are available through www.baileytickets.com
9:00- 9:45 Evening prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free

October 6th- Children's Day
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
10:00- 12:30 The Grandmothers will be hosted by the Elizabeth Ann Cline Montessori School in Ithaca
1:15- 1:45 Midday prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
3:00- 7:00 Children's Day events in Groton sponsored by Children of the Earth Foundation, Free.
9:00- 9:45 Evening prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free

October 7th- Women's Day Gathering
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free 
9:00- 10:30 The Grandmothers will be treated to healing sessions donated by local practitioners
11:00- 11:45 Midday prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
12:30-5:00 Picnic in Fillmore Glen State Park, Moravia. Registration for this event is now closed!

October 8th- Men's Day Gathering
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
9:00- 4:00 The Grandmothers will visit several groups and organizations in Ithaca
7:00- 9:00 Men's Gathering at Tompkins Cortland Community College, Free (males 12 and up only)

October 9th- Education Day
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
9:00- 10:45 The Grandmothers will be treated to healing sessions donated by local practitioners
The Grandmothers will visit several groups and organizations in Ithaca during the afternoon

October 10th- The Grandmothers Speak 
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
7:00- 9:00 Screening of the First Act of the Documentary "For the Next Seven Generations, The Grandmothers Speak" at SUNY Cortland, $10 donation

October 11th-Private Council
8:00- 8:45 Morning prayer ceremony with the Grandmothers at the Benn Conger Inn, Free
The Grandmothers will be in private council for the majority of the day
6:00 Women's Gathering of Groton, Thou Art Gallery
